1977 Audio Artesanal, Open back raw cans
Unique, beautiful, highly enjoyable and durable

1977 Audio headphones are the fruit of a passion for audio and the pleasure of making something beautiful with my own hands.

The goal of these headphones is to delight the wearer, thanks to their exquisite acoustics, their Organic timber produced by the high-quality woods used, comfort, beauty, and the pleasure of knowing they possess a unique object of exquisite craftsmanship.

Their dynamic drivers produce a balanced and detailed sound, The open back design increases spatiality and instrumental separation. Meanwhile, the closed version offers good passive noise isolation, allowing you to focus on the music and not the ambient noise. Their sonic signature is designed to ensure each frequency is respected, with a slight coloration to enhance certain nuances of the music.

No, these are not generic plastic, mass-produced headphones, I consider my work to be high-level craftsmanship. Created in small quantities in Bromont Quebec, using solid blocks of fine woods, which I choose for their durability, their acoustic properties and for the beauty of their colors and unique grains in each block, which together with the different patterns of the solid metal filters used in the construction, make each earphone one of a kind.

As with all handcrafted items, their creator pours into it their passion, their tastes, and what they have learned and inherited over time. A durable, easily repairable product, made to be inherited and not replaced.

Thank you for your support and enjoy them.

Born from Passion

1977 Audio, born in 2024, when I created my first headphones prototype the Olive V 0.1. Through them, I learned a great deal and, above all, experienced immense satisfaction, which I want to share with other enthusiasts.

Initially, I simply wanted to build the kind of headphones I couldn’t afford. Inspired by high-end headphones that cost more than I could save in several months working as a Software Developer, I set myself the goal of building a pair of high-end wooden headphones that would be a visual and auditory delight.

The result was very satisfying, especially considering the process involved. So, as soon as I finished the first prototype, I started a second, and a third… learning and perfecting. It was an exciting process in which I learned many things (acoustics, 3D modeling, speaker tuning, etc.). I soon discovered that making headphones gave me the same satisfaction that i got on my universitary studies as a visual artist that is, fulfilling an aesthetic quest and the pleasure of producing something beautiful. Only this time, instead of mounting an exhibition to share my work, I decided to create my own headphone brand.

Like any one-man show, this one takes time and progresses at a slower pace than others. However, for me, the satisfaction lies in the creative process, and I hope that for the future owners of my headphones, the satisfaction will come from possessing a beautiful, unique object that fulfills their acoustics expectations.
